WE Taxi – Terms and Conditions


1. Service Description
This platform functions as a digital intermediary that connects users (passengers) with
independent third-party taxi or vehicle operators.
The platform does not own or operate vehicles and is not a transportation service provider.


2. User Eligibility & Account
Users must be 18 years or older to register and use the service.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login details and ensuring
all account information is accurate.
The account is for personal and lawful use only.


3. Booking & Usage Terms
All ride requests must be placed through the platform (app or website).
Bookings are subject to driver availability.
Users must ensure timely appearance at pickup location.
Platform reserves the right to cancel or refuse services in case of misuse, fraud, or safety
concerns.


4. Payments and Charges
Fares are calculated based on distance, time, vehicle type, and may include: – Base fare – Distance/time charges – Waiting charges – Tolls & surcharges – Cleaning or damage fees (if applicable)
All payments are processed through the platform, and drivers are paid through the system.


5. Cancellations and Refunds
Users may cancel a booking within a set grace period; cancellations after dispatch may incur
a cancellation fee.
If a ride is canceled by a driver or unavailable, refunds (if any) are processed as per policy.
Platform holds the right to determine eligibility for refunds.


6. Conduct and Safety
Passengers must behave respectfully towards drivers and follow all safety protocols.
Drivers reserve the right to refuse service if the passenger appears intoxicated, abusive, or
poses a safety risk.
Misconduct may result in account suspension or banning.


7. Platform Limitations
Platform only acts as a facilitator; it is not liable for delays, route decisions, accidents, or
conduct of third-party drivers.
Services are offered “AS IS” with no warranties regarding availability, accuracy, or
performance.


8. Intellectual Property
All rights related to the app, branding, content, and software are owned by the platform
provider.
Users are granted non-exclusive, limited, revocable license to use the app.


9. Privacy & Data Use
User data may be collected for service improvement, billing, and legal compliance.
The platform will not share personal data with third parties unless required by law or
consented by the user.


10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from service use will be addressed through internal grievance
mechanisms.
If unresolved, legal proceedings will follow jurisdictional laws (e.g., laws of Sri Lanka or
country of operation).


11. Amendments to Terms
Terms & Conditions are subject to change at the platform’s discretion.
Users will be notified via app/email. Continued use signifies acceptance of the updated
terms.
